Thank you for purchasing digital art from Buy Digital Art Store. Once your purchase is complete, you can download your artwork and save it to your phone, computer, cloud storage, or a USB thumb drive.
Your purchase is a digital file, so no physical product will be shipped to you.
Below are simple instructions for iPhone and Android users.
Downloading Your Artwork to an iPhone
After completing your purchase, open the download link provided with your order.
Tap the Download button for the artwork you purchased. Depending on your browser, you may be asked to confirm that you want to download the file.
On an iPhone using Safari, downloaded files are normally saved in the Files app.
To find your artwork:
- Open the Files app on your iPhone.
- Tap Browse.
- Look under Downloads, usually inside iCloud Drive or On My iPhone.
- Tap the downloaded file to open it.
Saving a Copy to Photos
If you would also like the artwork in your Photos library, open the image and use the Share button. If the file type supports it, choose Save Image or Save to Photos.
Important: Keep the original downloaded file in your Files app. The original file is the one you should use when transferring the artwork to a computer or having it professionally printed.
Downloading Your Artwork to an Android Phone
Open the download link provided with your purchase and tap Download.
Your file will normally be saved automatically to your phone’s Downloads folder.
To find it:
- Open Files, My Files, or your phone’s file-management app.
- Select Downloads.
- Locate your purchased artwork.
- Tap the file to view it.
You can also move or copy the file to another folder, Google Drive, or another storage service for safekeeping.
Saving Your Artwork to a USB Thumb Drive
For long-term storage, I recommend keeping a backup copy of your purchased artwork.
The easiest method is to use a computer.
Connect your iPhone or Android phone to your computer and transfer the downloaded artwork to the computer. Then:
- Insert a USB thumb drive into the computer.
- Open the folder containing your downloaded artwork.
- Copy the artwork file.
- Open the USB drive.
- Paste or drag the artwork onto the USB drive.
- Wait for the transfer to finish before ejecting the drive.
You can also use a USB drive designed to connect directly to your phone. Depending on your device, this may use USB-C or, on older iPhones, a Lightning connection.
Keep Your Original File Safe
I recommend keeping your purchased artwork in at least two places.
For example, keep one copy on your computer or phone and another on a USB drive or cloud-storage service such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive.
Most importantly, do not resize or repeatedly edit your original downloaded file. Keep the original untouched and make copies if you need different versions.
Ready to Print?
Once your artwork is safely downloaded, you can transfer the file to a computer, USB drive, or printing service.
For the best results, use the original downloaded file rather than a screenshot or an image copied from the website. This preserves the resolution and image quality supplied with your purchase.
If a printing service asks you for the file, upload or provide the original downloaded artwork.
